From today, AwesomeBooks will gift a copy of a book for every book sold on www.awesomebooks.com to our charity, with the aim of 50,000 books, and we will give these out to children and schools who need them most, through our Hub areas and other areas of priority in the UK.

We’ve partnered with AwesomeBooks to support our education recovery offering. In addition to buying books, customers can donate to our charity through the AwesomeBooks website. All donations will contribute to our ongoing work with schools, children, and families in the UK’s most socioeconomically disadvantaged areas.

Simon Mackay, Head of Books at AwesomeBooks commented:At AwesomeBooks, we are committed to literacy, and work with schools, communities and partners globally to help give people the literacy skills they need to succeed in life. We have one goal – to make an impact with every book. We are delighted to partner with the National Literacy Trust which helps us do exactly this and would like to thank our customers for their support.”

Jonathan Douglas CBE, Chief Executive at National Literacy Trust added: “We are so grateful to AwesomeBooks for its support – both in the 50,000 books it hopes to distribute through our Hubs network between now and September and in its direct donation points across its retail site. After 16 months of turbulence and disruption, there has never been a more important time to support children’s literacy and learning.”
