Middlesbrough Reads is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Macmillan Children's Books, over 5000 copies of the Marcus Rashford book You Are A Champion have been gifted to schools across Middlesbrough.
The donation has meant that copies of the book have been given to every Year 6 and 7 pupils in Middlesbrough.
You Are A Champion, written with journalist Carl Anka, is full of stories about Marcus' life, insightful advice, and encourages children to be the best they can be.
Research from the National Literacy Trust shows that children who enjoy reading are three times more likely to have a good level of wellbeing compared to those who don’t. With this donation, Middlesbrough Reads continues with its mission to foster a love of reading in children in Middlesbrough.
