Tom Palmer's World Cup journey 11
Posted by Tom Palmer
I don’t know what to write after that game, to be honest. So let’s move on...
I found myself transferring Leeds United’s fixtures for next season into my diary the evening after the game. Maybe it is my way of moving on.
I want to apologise that the website taking votes for the outcome of the World Cup story seemed to struggle this weekend. I have been sent several hundred votes direct and I have added them to the successful votes on the site. So everyone who got through will have been counted.
I hope the story will still be as exciting, even though England are out. I promise some seriously exciting action towards the middle of this week and next week.
Also, there will be a chance to win a school visit from me later this week.
For me, I am now supporting Ghana. I went there last year to research Ghanaian football and fair trade chocolate while writing Off Side.

Hi. I'm the head of year 8 at a boy's school in Worthing. I thought I'd let you know that the year 8 tutors have been reading your story during tutor time in the mornings and the response has been really positive. An excellent idea that has really captivated their imagination during the World Cup. I think our school and others would appreciate more ideas like this.
