Words for Work

"I still don't know what (I want to) do but I think I can do anything now that I have been to Words for Work"

- year 9 pupil

The National Literacy Trust’s Words for Work programme offers an innovative way for schools and businesses to join forces and address the nation’s employability. Volunteers from the corporate world are partnered with secondary schools within their community to explore speaking and listening in the workplace through a range of workshops.

Words for Work is now being managed by a variety of organisations across England. To see if there is a Words for Work 'hub' near you, please visit the Words for Work about page to view the Words for Work hubs map.
