Vote for Literacy

Before the 2010 election we asked you to consider literacy as a key issue when you voted. We now need evidence of your support to ensure that literacy, and those who support literacy, are firmly on the Government’s agenda and not overlooked in the face of potential spending cuts.
The National Literacy Trust will be making submissions to Government, ahead of the autumn comprehensive spending review, recommending that they prioritise literacy and funding for schools, libraries, early years and adult basic skills. Please pledge your support for this campaign so we can demonstrate to Government how essential funding for literacy is.
With better literacy, we can support a skills-based economy and ensure that everyone, whatever their background, has the opportunity to succeed.
