The library service should be able to support adults learning
and help them to move on.
In order to support them effectively library staff will need
to:
- identify or recognise learners and potential learners
who use the library
- be aware of what courses and learning opportunities
are available in the area
- depending upon their training, offer informal or more
formal support to basic skills learners who want to use
or learn in the library
- provide facilities for classes and national tests in
the library where appropriate
- provide access to ICT and support for basic skills learners
who want to use it
