TTYB publishes buggy research

New research published by TTYB shows interactions between parents and infants are significantly increased with face-to-face buggies. Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, University of Dundee, says life is emotionally impoverished for too many babies in buggies facing away from their pusher. TTYB calls on manufacturers and retailers to create more affordable two-way facing buggies. Parents with such models should utilise the face-to-face option as standard, so that young children and their carers can talk and listen to each other as they are out and about. New pusher-facing buggy available

baby in pusher facing buggy looking at motherTTYB is delighted to see the pusher-facing facility of the new Trio For Me from Chicco featuring so prominently in its advertising campaign. Chicco produced the buggy after they found a high demand from parents for the pusher-facing option. To find out where the buggy is available ring Chicco stockists on 01623 750 870 or visit www.chicco.co.uk.

Boots catalogue highlights rear-facing buggies

TTYB is delighted that the Boots catalogue, Baby and You, lists pushchairs with a rear-facing facility. This is highlighted in the 'travel systems guide' featured at the front of the buggy section, helping to increase awareness of the pusher-facing option. Baby and You is a free magazine available in Boots stores.

Babies R Us to use Walkie Talkie label to promote new buggy

The Walkie Talkie label is to be used by Babies R Us to help promote a new pusher-facing buggy, i2i Maxx. The buggy is designed by Supercover and only available at Babies R Us. It is designed to promote bonding and communication between the child and pusher, and the label will help to highlight this aspect. The autumn/winter catalogue for Babies R Us will also feature the label. Babies R Us have stated their support for the Talk To Your Baby campaign in the i2i Maxx press release.

Two manufacturers to use Walkie Talkie label

Talk To Your Baby is delighted to announce that two manufacturers have been granted use of the Walkie Talkie label.

  • Hauck buggies will be using the label as a swingtag to show which models have seats that can face the pusher. They will also use the label in their promotional material.
  • The Supercover group will be using the label for their new buggy Cosatto Mobi.
