Talk To Your Baby 2008 conference report - 'Communication: the child's perspective'

In October 2008, Talk To Your Baby held a conference to look at many aspects of communication from the child's perspective. The key presentation came from Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, from the University of Dundee, who presented preliminary findings from her research into the impact of baby buggies on parent-child interaction.

Speakers included:

  • John Bercow MP, author of the Bercow report on services for children with communication difficulties
  • Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, developmental psychologist, University of Dundee
  • Consultant Elizabeth Jarman
  • Lucy Williams of the Early Childhood Unit at the National Children's Bureau
  • Mary Campbell, Service Improvement Manager, Early Prevention,
    Leicester City Council

There were also presentations from other practitioners on local activity. The conference report summarises the key points from the presentations and can be downloaded below.
