Talk To Your Baby 2011 Conference: Booking now open

Talk To Your Baby is delighted to announce its 2011 conference Foundations for Life: shaping babies' futures in an evolving landscape.
This year’s conference will address the changing landscape of the early years featuring influential and innovative speakers. The latest thinking, practice, and new developments will be shared to help everyone engaged with babies and young children to make the most of their valuable time and resources in securing high quality outcomes.
Dame Clare Tickell, DBE, Chief Executive of Action for Children and Early Years Foundation Stage review author, will deliver a keynote address on transforming outcomes for children by improving practice in the early years supported by effective policy.
Viv Bennett, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, Department of Health, will contribute a health sector perspective on future ways of working to support new and prospective parents. Talk To Your Baby is also delighted to welcome back Jean Gross, Communication Champion, who will be outlining the highlights of the National Year of Speech, Language and Communication, and the steps being taken to ensure a fruitful legacy.
Addressing the importance of parents as partners and the home learning environment Helen Wheeler, Principal Officer, National Children’s Bureau’s Early Childhood Unit, will be discussing the Raising Early Achievement in Literacy (REAL) and Parents Early Years and Learning (PEAL) programmes. Practice examples will include Nottinghamshire’s Language for Life strategy and North Yorkshire’s work on putting Talk To Your Baby into practice.
