Educating young people about copyright

The Write On competition is run in partnership with the Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS), an organisation who are passionate about educating young people about copyright - what it means, what it does and how it benefits creators, readers and viewers.

ALCS resource packAs well as the lessons within the Write On scheme of work that introduce students to the concept of copyright and the importance of protecting their own and others' work, ALCS have produced a fantastic resource pack to support teachers to educate their students about copyright. This resource pack contains comprehensive guidance for teachers as well as lots of engaging activity sheets for students.

Visit the ALCS website to find out more and download the free resource pack.
