Snail Tales are storytellers who are supporting the Reading Miles Global Challenge by offering a fantastic prize to the school of the pupil who wins the challenge prize draw.

About Snail Tales

snail tales logoThe Snail Tales team uses traditional oral storytelling techniques, plus a little puppetry and magic, to introduce children to the wonders of their own imaginations! Shared in this special lively style, stories that have passed around the world for millennia can engage and inspire children and help improve their confidence, communication and creativity throughout the classroom. About the Prize

snail tales in schoolSnail Tales will visit the school of the winning pupil for a day of storytelling fun. First, pupils will participate in an assembly packed full of traditional tales from some of the continents they encountered throughout the Reading Miles Global Challenge. From surprising international variants of well-known fairy tales to creation myths, these colourful stories will delight all year groups. For the rest of the day the Snail Tales storyteller will work with as many of pupils as possible to heighten their enthusiasm for story even further with some workshops on storytelling. Finally, to make sure this is a prize to last a lifetime, Snail Tales will stick around for an after-school INSET session with staff, offering tips and practical exercises for developing their own storytelling skills!
