Stories and activities: Pirate Reading Adventure

Use the resources below to run five sessions in which you and the children share a story together and complete a fun activity relating to the story.

Each story is colourful and beautifully illustrated so works really well when projected onto an interactive whiteboard for reading together as a group.

Once the children have read the story and completed the related activity they can mark it off on their special achievement chart.

Session 1: Posh Pirate Party

Story 1 photoMeet Swashbuckle characters Captain Sinker, Cook and Line as they attempt to get ready for the Buccaneer's Ball. After hearing the story children can make their own pirate outfit including a hat, eye patch, moustache and beard.
