Paired reading schemes: a toolkit for teachers

Reading on the beanbagA well-run paired reading scheme can have massive benefits, for the tutor and the tutee, as well as the school community in general. We've put together a suite of resources to support the setting up and running of a buddy reading scheme in school, including a guidance toolkit, pupil prompt cards and case studies from other schools that have run successful schemes:

Reading buddy prompt cards

Please note: The language and content used in the prompt cards should be appropriate for most pupils at Key Stage 2 or above, but in case you (or the pupils themselves) would like to make your own prompt cards, we've also provided you with an editable blank PDF template. Download template.
