FREE taster evaluation tools for schools

Not yet a member of the National Literacy Trust Network? We've created some taster versions of our whole-school audit evaluation tools (usually only available to network members), so you can try before you buy.

This audit will help you to evaluate your school's reading culture and provide you with ideas and advice to enable you to move forward. Once you have completed the audit questions, all your responses are taken into account to create a specific set of guidance and strategies for your school.

For the taster we've provided the section of the audit entitled "Whole-school strategy." Other sections within the full audit include:

  • Staff engagement
  • "In the classroom"
  • Whole school events and activities
  • Reading environment
  • School library
  • Family involvement
  • Targeted provision
  • Community involvement
