Young People and Reading

This report outlines the findings of a survey conducted with 1,512 boys and girls in six schools in England in spring 2005. It explores what sort of materials young people are reading and why, how they feel about reading, who they read with and who they talk about reading with.

This survey formed the cornerstone of our subsequent surveys on young people and their views on a variety of literacy issues.
