Child's Play books prompt interaction and discussion to encourage parents and children to enjoy books together. The language is designed to help children learn patterns of speech, and for the reluctant reader, Child's Play offers novelty books. Visit www.childs-play.com.

Galore Park is a small independent publisher which has recently republished works by H.E. Marshall. These children's books are designed to be read aloud and educate children about events in British history. Galore Park also publishes a wide range of textbooks for children aged 8-16. Oxford University Press publishes educational and children's books that seek to engage children in reading for pleasure. Reading schemes such as the Oxford Reading Tree and phonics programme Read Write Inc are the means by which the OUP combines educational strategies with stories and characters known to children. OUP also provides novels geared toward older children and teenagers that cover a wide variety of genres and reading preferences. For reluctant readers, OUP offers a varied selection of non-fiction titles. Oxford also publishes a number of dictionaries, which include editions specifically designed for use by students. Puffin Book Club is a schools based club that gives parents and children access to a wide range of discounted books. Red House is a mail order bookshop specialising in children's books for all ages, from babies to young adults. The website also features The Reading Room, an online community with message boards, competitions and newsletters aimed at children aged 16 and under. Run by The Federation of Children's Book Groups, Red House also supports the only children's book prize decided by the readers, The Red House Children's Book Award. Usborne books for Schools
Usborne offers a number of services for schools, as well as its online catalogue of over 1000 books. The Library Discount Scheme allows schools to buys books for the classroom or library at a discounted price and the School Book Fair company will organise the school's book fair if help is needed. Walker Books offers a diverse range of books for the youngest child to the oldest, including board and novelty books, picture and activity books, gift sets and anthologies; fiction and non-fiction.
