John Bird is the co-founder of The Big Issue as well as many other great publications to help get people interested in reading. Bird published a book for Quick Reads, giving 7 steps to achieving a better life. Encouraging people to read is second nature to Bird, and he believes teaching someone to read is just as important as learning to read.
