Talk for Writing

Talk for Writing is an exciting new initiative from the NLT that seeks to support education professionals in inspiring and improving children's writing using the highly successful and engaging approaches developed by leading literacy consultant and expert Pie Corbett.

Writing can seem an uphill battle for many children. Talk for Writing opens up the magical world of writing by exploring the entire writing process with children through talk. From immersion in books, stories, ideas and images in order to develop and extend ideas, all the way through the structuring and organisation stages to the actual presentation and communication of those ideas. Its fun, practical and highly effective, loved by pupils and teachers alike.
