CHELSEA CLINCH TORRES DEAL AS LIVERPOOL SIGN ANDY CARROLL FOR £35M
A summer World Cup winner with Spain, Torres arrived at Liverpool’s training ground early today, but left at lunchtime by car.
Reports suggested he was then switching to helicopter to make the trip south, but that was delayed while the haggling over image rights in his Chelsea contract continued.
Chelsea will be hoping his arrival will help them at least secure a Champions League place again next season, even if their hopes of retaining the Premier League title could be beyond them.
