Author information

We're working with a select group of children's authors who are providing additional support and resources for schools and libraries taking part. They are all excellent at providing inspirational school visits.

Follow the links below to find out more about our authors. We have grouped them by the region they are based in. Please note that many authors will be willing to travel throughout the UK, not just in the region they are based in. Where possible, we have indicated where the authors are happy to travel.

Authors in Greater London

Authors in the South East

Authors in the South West

Authors in the Midlands

Authors in the North East

Authors in the North West

If would like further information about how to book an author, the Book Trust offers some good advice, and so does contactanauthor.co.uk. The Society of Authors' website provides research about the benefits of author visits. Some of our authors have undertaken training as part of our 21st Century Authors programme.

Additionally the National Football Museum runs Poetry Days with Poet in Residence and Premier League Reading Stars author Paul Cookson. They combine the 'Guest Visitor' experience with the reward of having a day out at the museum, and are a great option for one of your Premier League Reading Stars sessions. Further information is available at www.nationalfootballmuseum.com.
