Practical idea - Trips for families

Organise a trip for families to visit their local museum or the public library. Use the coach journey as a time for staff to get to know the families. Give them workbooks/quizzes to fill out during the visit. If you choose to visit the library, encourage parents to join and inform them about all the services and different activities that take place there.
