Practical idea - Post-a-read

22 Feb 2011

Get pupils and staff to send a postcard to the school during the summer holidays about what they are reading. Launch this idea by recreating a beach scene in the library with beach towels, bottles of sun cream and a deckchair, as well as piles of free postcards. Use cards that are sent or brought back to make a display in classrooms/ tutor group rooms at the beginning of the autumn term.
