Practical idea - Community events

22 Feb 2010

Rather than organising all of your own events, investigate what is already happening in your local area. Hundreds of libraries and bookshops put on special events, often with authors, illustrators and storytellers. Find out what is going on in your area so your setting can join in. Your local authority adviser and children's centres may have more information as well as your local paper.

Read this case study about a local authority event that early years children joined in with.
