Practical idea - Fancy dress event

22 Feb 2010

Hold a fancy dress event. On World Book Day you could ask children to dress up as their favourite book character. Or choose a theme you know your children will respond to such as outer space or witches and wizards.  Children from the youngest age love dressing up and role play and it is even better if you can get the staff and families to join in.

If your children respond to this event why not think about creating more role play opportunities? Read this case study that shows how a preschool developed drama activities.
