Practical idea - Pack-away language and literacy area

22 Feb 2010

Language and literacy areas do not have to be static. A small space can be set up in minutes and used around the setting. For example, create a story-sharing space for two children using a mosquito net and a few cushions.

Some children learn best outside so make sure you have some language and literacy resources for your outside space. This could be as simple as a transparent carry case filled with books and a cuddly toy to read with.
