Practical ideas
Practical idea - Family make and reads
22 Feb 2010
You could run a session for families to teach them how to make a collage of a scene from a story, story sacks or stick puppets. Model afterwards how to use the collage, puppets or sacks when retelling the story with their children at home.
The National Literacy Trust have created some story games based on popular early years books. Families could help you make the games and then take them home to play over and over again.
