Department for Children, Schools and Families

Department for Culture, Media and Sport
DCMS responsibilities include Government policy on the arts, sport, libraries, museums and galleries, broadcasting, creative industries including film and the music industry. It is also responsible for the 2012 Olympic Games & Paralympic Games. Ofsted - the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills 
A new Ofsted, bringing together four formerly separate inspectorates, was formed in April 2007. It inspects and regulates care for children and young people, and inspects education and training for learners of all ages. For information about the inspectorate visit www.ofsted.gov.uk
