Literacy policy in the UK is devolved to the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh and N. Irish assemblies. While there are similar strategic bodies with a specific focus on literacy in each nation, the National Literacy Trust maintains an overview and interest across the UK in order to compliment our UK-wide research and practice.
