Bookstart celebrates 20 years

26 Feb 2012

This year, Booktrust is celebrating 20 years of its Bookstart early reading programme, which gives free books to babies, toddlers and three-year-olds. The National Literacy Trust is supporting the campaign to help secure it for future generations.

Thousands of parents, carers, librarians and teachers, and a whole host of famous faces, have signed up to the Bookstart 20 pledge: to share 20 books in 2012. You can join them by filling out the pledge postcard in your local library or making the pledge online at www.booktrust.org.uk/bookstart20
