12 May 2011
Is writing on your school development plan for next year? 64% of teachers said writing was their top priority this year in our recent survey.
Using Talk for Writing has been shown to rapidly accelerate pupil progress and the use of speaking and listening to support writing has been highlighted as good practice by Ofsted.
With just over 20 days of term left until our "Transforming writing: Creating powerful story writers" conferences for Key Stage 1 and 2 teachers and primary professionals, now is the time to book your place.
Ideal for both those new to Talk for Writing techniques and those more experienced, this summer's conferences will demonstrate how Talk for Writing has evolved and developed from its early days of oral storytelling into a powerful tool to transform all aspects of literacy in your school.
This day contains brand new material and looks at embedding the approach across the whole school with an added emphasis on that all important link between reading and writing. With creative curriculum development high on many schools' priorities, the day also explores how to develop a "literature spine" within your school and how story can underpin your curriculum. Furthemore, you will be presented with a wealth of all-new materials to take away and put to use in your classroom.
