The Baby Room Conference - 9 July 2010

At this conference, key speakers will come together to consider the care of babies in daycare settings in England: provisions made for them, environments created for them, policies relating to them, practice invovling them and contemporary research about babies.
The key speakers are:
Dr Jools Page, University of Sheffield, who will be presenting 'Choices, Beliefs and dilemmas: understanding the perspectives of six mothers about daycare for their babies'.
Dr Peter Elfer, Roehampton University, who will be presenting 'Understanding relationships in daycare settings'.
Liz Attenborough, Talk To Your Baby, will be presenting 'Understanding the importance of talking to babies'.
Professor Tricia David will chair the plenary session.
The conference will also feature practitioners from local nurseries who will be sharing their work and exhibitors from Nursery World, Community Playthings, TACTYC, OMEP and an excellent bookshop.
