Reading Champions research project - results published!

6 May 2010

In 2009-2010, we ran a Reading Champions project with a cluster of schools in Tameside local authority. By the end of this project, it was hoped that the Reading Champions’ attitudes to reading have would improved and they would have benefited more widely from taking part in the scheme. For example, they would have developed increased confidence and leadership skills. It was also hoped that there would be an improvement in the reading levels of the boys (beyond the anticipated level of progress), the attitudes to reading among other pupils in school would have improved and that the school’s reading culture would have developed as a result of taking part.

Download either the executive summary or the full version of this report to find out how the boys from each of these schools progressed.
