The role of environment in child development is crucial

27 Jun 2009

James quotes a Dutch study by researcher Dyna Van den Boom, which examined babies born with postnatal personalities that suggested a high level of emotional instability. James writes that mothers in this research group who were given counselling to help this situation were able to turn around their babies' difficulties.

James writes that a mother who is “emotionally sensitive” and “mentally stimulating” can help to overcome genetic personality impairments.
