    Train to Gain funding cut by six percent

    The Government has announced a six percent cut in Train to Gain funding next year as well as a three percent reduction in course rates across the board. The Times Educational Supplement has reported that college leaders are"dismayed" by the news.

    One in ten young people in England out of work and not in school

    The BBC reports that at the end of 2007, 9.7% of 16 - 18-year-olds were considered to be not in education or employment or training, or "Neets", but by the end of 2008, this had risen to 10.3%.
