Canterbury Tales pilgrims return

23 Apr 2012

On Saturday evening, 20 Chaucer fans completed their four-day walk from Southwark Cathedral in London to Canterbury by walking bare-foot into Canterbury, as Henry II reportedly did.

As well as recreating the Canterbury Tales by telling all of the tales en route, the group were fundraising for the National Literacy Trust. We're very grateful to them raising a fantastic £7,395.

To read the Twitter feed of the walk (in Middle English), go to: www.twitter.com/Canterbury2012.
