Hello 'Shines a Light' on communication

25 Nov 2011

The Hello campaign's Shine a Light 2011 awards have brought a welcome focus to support for children and young people's communication.

The awards were developed by The Communication Trust and Pearson Assessment as the flagship event of the Hello campaign; the 2011 national year of communication. The National Literacy Trust is part of The Communication Trust, a consortium of nearly 50 voluntary and community organisations with expertise in speech, language and communication.

The awards were hosted by Vanessa Feltz at publisher Pearson's Headquarters in London. Some of the winners included Stoke on Trent's early years team and Sheffield's Watercliffe Meadow School.
