13 Sep 2011
Words for Work has again improved young people's communication skills through the 10-week programme. The final year of the pilot project worked with 13 schools across England and 18 local and regional businesses.
The evaluation shows that 70% of young people who participated believe they have improved their speaking and listening skills, 93% of the adult volunteers who worked closely with the pupils believe the young people are better communicators and 88% of teachers involved stated that Words for Work impacted directly on pupils' skills.
