Father and son raise over £750 to support our work

31 Aug 2011

Alex and Tom Dewar Lands EndFather and son team Alex and Tom Dewar recently cycled the 983 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise valuable funds for the National Literacy Trust. Tom, who has just completed his A-levels and will be starting a degree in Primary Education in September, selected the National Literacy Trust because of his interest in education and literacy. We’re really grateful to Alex and Tom for their impressive donation. Alex said:

“We set ourselves a fundraising target of £750 and are delighted to have exceeded that by raising £755 to support the good work the National Literacy Trust does. The ride itself was a great adventure.”

If you’d like to read more about Alex and Tom’s cycle ride, have a look at their blog.
