National Literacy Trust and Starbucks partnership shortlisted for Business Charity Award

23 Mar 2011

The National Literacy Trust and Starbucks Coffee Company have been shortlisted in the ‘charity partnership: long term’ category for Third Sector’s 2011 Business Charity Awards.

The awards, sponsored by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) recognise the charitable contributions of corporate Britain and are now in their second year. The National Literacy Trust has been working with Starbucks since 2001, and in 2008 Starbucks committed to a five year partnership with the aim of making a significant difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people and local communities. Starbucks provide funding and partner time to support literacy projects, working in communities across the UK.

The awards will take place at a black-tie dinner on Monday 9 May at the Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane, London.
