EYFS review panel announced

24 Sep 2010

The Early Years Foundation Stage review panel has been confirmed by the Department for Education. The review panel comprises: Professor Christine Pascal, Centre for Research in Early Childhood, University College Worcester;  Kathy Sylva, Professor of Educational Psychology at Oxford University; Bernadette Duffy, head of Thomas Coram Children’s Centre; Sue Owen, Director of Wellbeing at the National Children’s Bureau; Jean Gross, Communication Champion; Nicola Amies, nursery group Bright Horizon’s Director of Education and Training; Rob Nicholson, Head of Early Years, Wandsworth; and Dorian Bradley, former Children’s Director of Ofsted.

The Government has ordered the review because it wants to ensure, among other things, that the focus is on getting children ready for school and raising results for those from the poorest homes.
