6 Aug 2010
The Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC), in conjunction with Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, is launching a new programme to attract high calibre graduates into the early years sector.
The programme is a two-year postgraduate course that combines Early Years Professional Status training and qualification with an MA in Early Years. The programme is seeking 30 candidates with at least a 2:1 degree to start in November 2010 and autumn 2011.
The course will feature placements during the first year and candidates will work in role during the second. Tuition fees will be covered as part of the course and students will receive £8,000 bursary during the first year and £17,000 working wage in the second.
Thom Crabbe, National Manager for early years at the CWDC, said, “We want to recruit applicants with aptitude, skills, abilities and motivation to make first-class leaders.”
