MPs say 21st Century Schools agenda too confusing

The latest report from the Children, Schools and Families select committee has called on the Government to rewrite its 21st century Schools agenda to make it less confusing for schools. The agenda was launched last year in the white paper Your Child, Your Schools, Our Future and proposes initiatives such as producing report cards for parents on school performance and more self-evaluation by schools.

The committee warns that the agenda "signals even greater complexity in an already overly complex system of school accountability and improvement initiatives".
