Children want more time outdoors, poll finds
13 Jul 2009
38% of children spend less than an hour a day outdoors, while almost a quarter spend more than 14 hours a week in front of a TV or computer screen. One in four parents would not allow children to spend more time outside because of safety fears.
The poll also showed that running and playing games in a garden or park is the country's favourite children's pastime.
