The British Association for Early Childhood
Education is the national voluntary organisation for early
years practitioners promoting the right of all children to
education of the highest quality. It provides support, advice
and information for everyone concerned with the education

National Children's Bureau (NCB) is a charity that offers information, advice, support

The Parent Centre is the official Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) website for parents and carers. It aims to act as a reference book about the education system, as well as directing parents to other sources of information and advice. Parentalk exists to provide relevant information and advice for mums and dads in a format that they feel most comfortable with, regardless of their background or family circumstances. It was set up following research in 1999 which revealed that one in three parents feel like failures. Parentalk is all about inspiring parents to make the most of their vitally important role, through a Parenting Principles course, local events, a schools pack, a series of books and a website.

Sure Start, Extended Schools and Families
Group, DCSF
In December 2002, Sure Start was adopted as the title for
all the Government's work on early education as well as childcare,
health advice and family support for young children. The joined-up
strategy was the result of the success of the Sure Start local
programmes in providing integrated services to families. In
July 2005, the Sure Start Unit changed its name to the Sure
Start, Extended Schools and Families Group.
