Statement

My aim is to provide high quality, personalised consultancy, coaching and training for literacy. You may simply want a single staff meeting on teaching spelling or you may require a more in-depth programme of support for teaching and learning lasting a number of months. Either way your consultancy and training will be designed carefully and precisely according to your needs, incorporating both analysis and practical advice. As well as working with schools directly, I deliver CPD and consultancy on behalf of the Early Excellence Centre and the National Literacy Trust as a Talk for Writing Adviser and design and lead communication, language and literacy projects with networks of schools and for local authorities. In the past I have been a Reading Recovery teacher, a Better Reading Partnership Advisor and a Family Literacy Adviser for the LA. Before becoming an independent consultant, I was a Senior Literacy Consultant for the Primary National Strategy. www.carolsatterthwaite.com
