Statement

We are a dynamic trio (one more than Batman & Robin!) working as part of a small team of advisers & consultants in Windsor & Maidenhead. Our specialist background is in English, but much of the work we undertake is about whole-school improvement, e.g. identifying gaps in achievement and helping schools to develop approaches which accelerate progress for vulnerable learners. We work with individual schools providing personalised, bespoke support as well as facilitating clusters and networks, e.g. cross-phase moderation. We also offer a programme of training courses based on local and national priorities, e.g. early literacy development, visual literacy approaches, Talk for Writing. In addition to our work with schools we have all been involved in national and regional projects such as ‘Teachers and TAs as Writers’ (with University of Winchester & Pie Corbett), ‘Everybody Writes’ (secondary consultant) and developing film resources with the BFI. Jo and Debbie are Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) Lead Practitioners ®.
