Reading The Game needs your help

RTG changes lives
Reading The Game reaches over 10,000 children and adults every year and has a lasting impact on those who take part. Starting from a passion for football, we are able to share the power of reading, demonstrating how it can enrich any interest, and compliment every aspect of life.

Ellie Duckworth, an eight year old Bolton fan, met player Kevin Davies on a trip to the Reebok Stadium as part of her RTG project. She was so inspired she broke all project records and read 124 books over the course of the season. Her dad David was amazed after the project, telling us, "The first thing she'd ask when she got up or got home from school would be 'Are we going to the library today?'"

RTG reaches adults alongside their children, for example Cliff Taylor, age 42, hadn't read a book for 26 years until he took part in a RTG project with his son. Reading Lance Armstrong's autobiography, however, he was inspired, and now reads every day on the train to work.

You can help
With your help we can reach and inspire even more children and adults across the UK. Just £5 a month will enable three children to benefit from a RTG project for a year.
