Every home a reading home

Department for children,schools and families
The Family Reading Campaign is delivered by the NLT on behalf of the DCSF

"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
- Dr. Seuss

There are many fun ways to enjoy reading with children as part of your normal daily routine, and to encourage them to talk about reading. Read in any language you speak at home - the important thing is that your child reads. Select the group from the list below that may be useful to you:

Pre-school age (0-3 and 3-5 years old)
Primary school age (5-8 and 9-11 years old)
Older children

And remember, you can borrow books for free to suit all ages and tastes from your local library. Your local librarian will be only too pleased to help you select the books you want.
