Case studies: South East England
Everybody's Book project, East Sussex
- making a picture book written and illustrated by children and adults in temporary accommodation
Home-school reading partnership at Chineham Park, Basingstoke
- a whole-school approach including a breakfast club and the school library
Dads and Lads, Mums and Sons reading club, Reading, Berkshire
- students and their parents undertake to read six books, and work together on reviews
The Romsey School, Hampshire
- a 'build your own computer' course that attracted a number of dads (from the Reading Champions pages)
Families Together in West Sussex
- a home visiting programme that works with primary schools to help parents get involved with their child's reading
Reading dads at HMP Blantyre House
- a project supporting dads in becoming reading role models
