The Family Reading Adventure card is aimed at families with children of all ages, although it will work best for those with children aged up to 11. It explains the reasons why it is important to engage children in reading activities, and how you can do this simpy as part of everyday life. Activities are suggested for children aged 0-3, 3-5, 5-8 and 8-11, as well as older children. You can download A5 and A4 poster versions of each page of the card and editable versions of each poster so you can adapt the tips and ideas for your audience and setting.

We distributed almost half a million copies of the card in 2008. Copies were also included in Booktime packs for 650,000 reception children in autumn 2007, and again in 2008.

Whenever hard copies of the resource have been made available, they have been hugely popular and are always out-of-stock within days. Unfortunately, we have no immediate plans for additional print-runs.
